Hannah Montana Mania!

As you read in my previous post my daughter and I went to see the Hannah Montana the Movie for her birthday a few weeks ago. I will admit I like Hannah Montana and I have been known to watch the TV show without any pressure from my children! I took my daughter to see the Best of Both Worlds Concert live and I was just as excited as she was! I could have sold the tickets for enough money to make a few mortgage payments, but the joy on her face when I gave her the tickets was priceless. So, of course I was excited to see the movie, I really enjoyed it and the music was really great! I may have even shed a tear or two during the movie.

So every movie of course comes with its own line of merchandise and Jakks Pacific and Disney have come out with a great line of new toys from the movie that are a must have for any Miley/Hannah fan!

We received the Hannah and Her Horse set which includes a Miley doll dressed in the exact outfit from the movie scene and her beloved horse. We also got the Hoe Down Throw Down Singing Miley doll. She too is dressed in her outfit from the movie and when you push a button she sings a line from the song! I am still trying to learn the dance, it's not going so well. She even comes with a cute boot keytag you can use on your book bag!

Although my daughter and I are Hannah fans, we are a little old for toys, so I gave the dolls to my friend's 9 year old daughter who is "Hannah's BIGGEST fan" and she loved them! She was so excited she could hardly contain herself. Needless to say I think these would be great dolls for the Hannah fan in your life!You can find them at Walmart.com and you could win one here!

The Buzz on Palmolive Pure + Clear

I am trying to become a little more aware of the environment and the chemicals in my house, so Pure + Clear is a small step to help me do this.

Beth and I belong to a family center playgroup together so we decided that our parent meeting was the perfect place to share Sabra. We choose Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Roasted Garlic Hummus, and Greek Olive Hummus. I really wanted to try the Mediterranean Salsa but all the stores I went to only carried the Hummus dips. I am still searching!

Anyone who knows me knows I am not one to try new things, I get a crazy feeling in my stomach like I might die if I try something new. Well I am happy to say you would all be proud of me because I tried the Roasted Garlic Hummus and I actually liked it! (and I didn't die lol) Only a few of the people at our meeting had tried hummus before and we persuaded everyone to give it a try and the results were favorable. Roasted Red Pepper seemed to be the favorite, those who tried the Greek Olive said it had a very strong olive flavor and you had to really like olives to appreciate it. The Roasted Garlic also had a very strong flavor, which is why I think I liked it so much, I love garlic and the fact that the flavor was so strong helped me get past the fact that it was made out of something I would never consider eating. (I really don't like the texture of bean like foods.) One of the ladies in the group is actually from a Greek family and she makes homemade hummus, she gave Sabra the thumbs up and said that if she couldn't make her own, Sabra would definitely be her hummus of choice!

Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Chewy Bars

I have to admit, I am not one to try new foods especially when they are "good for me" so when I received this great Spa Break Basket from Fiber One it took me a few days to try them just because the word "fiber" is in the title. I know call me crazy but don't tell my kids because I make them try everything!

Munchie Mug Review and Giveaway

Are There Monsters In Your House? ~ CurlyQ Cuties Review

Do you have kid that wakes up screaming in the middle of the night? I do! My 3 year old Nathan has an uncontrollable fear of monsters in our house.

Let me start at the beginning. I have a nephew Hayden who is the same age as my son. They spend a ton of time together and when they are together my nephew's favorite game to play is monsters. In the beginning, Nathan would only talk about monsters or have a fear on nights that he had been with Hayden during the day. It didn't take long for his imagination to get the best of him and after 2 sweet years of sleeping through the night he started waking up EVERY night calling for me to get rid of the monsters.

This has been going on now for about 6 months and mama is tired! We started by "chasing" the monsters back to Hayden's house. I would have to stand in the middle of the room and announce to the monsters "It's time for bed, get out, go away, go back to Hayden's house" This worked for a little while, but wouldn't you know after a few weeks they were coming back even after I chased them away! Darn monsters!

Now the weather was getting colder so I decided to go with "the monsters all went to Hawaii because it's too cold here." I hope I never decide to go on vacation to Hawaii because I don't think he will go! Anyway this also worked for a few days until the sun came out one cold December day and Nathan decided it wasn't cold enough here anymore because the sun was out and they were back, again.

So we tried flashlights to shine in the monsters eyes, he would leave them on ALL night and I was going through way too many batteries! Not to mention, he would play with the flashlight during the day, loose it and freak out a bedtime!

Next we tried the "monster spray" Santa left under the tree. I was really excited about this one, he wasn't. He said the monsters liked the smell and it made them come in his room! By this time he pretty much even had my 6 yr old who shares a room with him convinced there were monsters in there!

So now I am at the end of my rope, how am I going to get this kid to sleep at night? Then by some Twitter miracle I came across CurlyQ Cuties!

When I found these great little monsters I was so excited! I sat Nathan down in front of the computer and we began to design his very own "good" monster. Nathan sleeps with Red every night and loves showing him off to everyone. My 6 year old wants one now and I think I am going to get him one for his birthday!

Magnet Street Baby Reivew and Giveaway

So, it was December 15th and I realized Christmas was only 10 days away and I still didn't have Christmas cards. I hadn't even taken my kids photo yet. I never wait this long! I start thinking about my Christmas cards in September. I'd like to do something fun, but at this point I was running out of time. What was I gonna do? A photo with Santa was out of the question, 3 year old is terrified of him. So we settle for a bench we found near the big tree by the train and we were able to get a decent photo with a not so bad background.

Get Organized With Sandy ~ Car Caddie Review

Marshalls Winter Wonderland of Savings

Okay, so I am a self proclaimed last minute shopper! Anyone with me? So, when I was contacted to participate in Marshalls Winter Wonderland of Savings Promotion I was very excited! They sent me a $25 gift card to use at Marshalls to finish some of my last minute shopping.

So on Christmas Eve (yes I did say last minute!) I headed to my local Marshalls to see what I could find. The store looked great and was playing some really festive music. They still had a really great selection of items even though it was Christmas Eve. I wasn't really sure who I had in mind to buy for, but I did know I wanted to find some great bargains!

First a quick stroll through the shoe department (you can never have enough shoes). If you are looking for great designer shoes this is the place for you! But, I wasn't here to shop for myself, so I moved on!

My next favorite thing, bags and purses! This is where I found these cute little Bring It On bags by Nike.

These cute little bags fold up really small and tight to fit in your purse or diaper bag so you always have your own eco friendly bag when you take a quick trip to store! I'll take 3, one for mom, one for a friend and yep one me! I just couldn't resist! I wish they would have had more.

Next, I browsed through the gift section. Wow, they had everything you could ever imagine! Bath sets, cookbooks, frames, vases, gourmet gift sets, pet items, tons of kitchen gadgets, pots, pans, home decor, books the list goes on and on! The thing I really like about this section of Marshalls is that they have really unique items. Just when I think I can't find something for that hard to buy person on my list, there it is right in front of me at Marshalls and at a great price too! I have to remember to come here next time I need a cool birthday gift.

Next stop, kids section. They had so many nice name brand toys at great prices. I saw a lot of things that looked really neat that I had not seen in the local toy stores. I was already done shopping for all the toys on my list so I figured I better not buy any more! I decided to look at the clothes. I found these 2 really cute Carters items for my 3 month old nephew. As I was heading toward the checkout lines, I spotted a section of Pittsburgh sports items. Lots of Steeler, Penguin and Pirate stuff. My hubby is a huge sports fan and I found this nice Penguin t-shirt for him and a really cool Steeler hat for my son.








My hubby is also a hunter and a baseball coach and I found this really nice Duoflod Varitherm shirt to keep warm on those cold days outside. I looked around a little more and managed not to buy anything else for myself, but I found some really great stuff I want to go back for after Christmas!

Zenses for Nintendo DS Review and Giveaway

This is for all my mom readers! I have 2 more great games to share with you today! They are Zenses Ocean and Zenses Rainforest for Nintendo DS.

I really enjoyed both of these games and would recommend them for a great escape from your busy day (as if twitter wasn't enough distraction!) Zenses forced me to fight my kids for their DS's! I guess I need my own!

Zenses Ocean

This game consists of 6 VERY addictive puzzle games and challenges. It has over 50 levels of play and you can choose the level you want to escape to. My favorite games are Pearl Diver and Shell Twirl. The directions are kinda vague, but once you play around you can figure out exactly how to play.

Zenses Rainforest

Just like Zenses Ocean,Zenses Rainforest is VERY addicting with over 50 levels to play at your own pace. My favorite games are Stack Jack and Sapphire Wheel. Again the instructions are vague but you will get the hang of it!

Both of these games also come with a bonus downloadable MP3 chill out album!

My 11 year old daughter also really liked these games. Puzzle games are our favorite type of game. My 9 year old son also tried these out and enjoyed them. He is the type that will play a game until he solves everything then move on to the next game! I hope he finishes soon because I want to play more!

These games retail for $29.99 and are recommended for ages 6 & up. My 6 year old had a little trouble playing, so I would suggest a little older.
